Worcester is a great place to live – there's a huge choice of things to do and places to visit
For students who want to avoid the smog and crowds of an urban centre, Worcester offers the best of both worlds: a small town feel with the sophistication of the city.
Worcester is a great city for student life. Students make up a good proportion of the local community, so you'll find a good choice of places to hang out with friends and meet new people.
It has a vibrant and varied nightlife, numerous leisure facilities, superb heritage attractions, beautiful parks and great places to eat and drink. And, with the University located so close to everything, it’s easy to get around and take it all in. There really is something for everyone.
A survey undertaken in March 2013 found that Worcester was the eighth happiest place to live in the UK. The survey, conducted by property website Rightmove, took into account a number of factors, including safety, recreational facilities and the friendliness of neighbours.
